GREENVILLE, S.C.; October 6, 2020— Today, Libertarian vice-presidential nominee Jeremy “Spike” Cohen will visit the Ocean State to rally supporters and meet with media. Cohen continues to garner support for his and his presidential running mate Dr. Jo Jorgensen’s platform of reducing the size and scope of the federal government, ending American military involvement in foreign disputes, and enabling truly free-market health-care options.
“Today insurance is expensive because it covers all care. If we paid for routine health care out of pocket, while using insurance to cover only catastrophic claims, we would see a dramatic drop in costs,” said Cohen. “Even caring for those who have very little would save taxpayers over half the cost.”
After a day of media interviews and the evening rally in Providence, whose emcee will be LP Rhode Island Chair Pat Ford, who hosts Coalition Radio, Mr. Cohen will on Wednesday head to Delaware to meet supporters at the Old State House in Dover. Also addressing that crowd will be Sean Goward, chair of LP Delaware, Nadine Frost, chair of LP New Castle County and candidate for U.S. senate, and Bill Hinds, vice chair of LP New Castle County and candidate for Delaware representative (Dist. 27).
Cohen’s campaign stops in Rhode Island and Delaware feature Libertarian Party leaders and down-ballot candidates, include media availability, and are scheduled as follows (subject to change; times are shown in local time zone):
Tuesday, October 6; Rhode Island
5–7 P.M.: Memorial Park, South Main Street, Providence
Wednesday, October 6; Delaware
5:45–7 P.M.: The Green in front of the Old State House, 25 The Green, Dover
On Wednesday evening, Cohen will host a special episode of his weekly program, “The Muddied Waters of Freedom,” built around the televised #FakeDebate between only two of the VP candidates who appear on all 50 states’ ballots this November: Cohen’s opponents, Republican Mike Pence and Democrat Kamala Harris.
Concurrently today, Libertarian presidential nominee Dr. Jo Jorgensen will be campaigning and meeting media at two events in New York City. For a full list of the candidates’ upcoming campaign events, visit Jo20.com/events.
Media advisory: Rain or shine! The candidates will have media availability at most tour stops. A mult box will be available at the rallies, although no risers. Personal distancing protocols will be followed; the campaign will provide hand sanitizer and masks.
